Sunday 1 PM. The Bison, hard as it may be for some to believe, are a one-point underdog vs 2-13 Lafayette.

With 7-0 Neal Quinn having transferred to Richmond, 70% of the time LC has been using a lineup with no player taller than 6–7. Should be a huge edge for the bison at the offensive end, but only if the coaching staff figures out how to take advantage of the matchups. OTOH it could be a big disadvantage at the other end with one or two Bison big men chasing around smaller and quicker forwards, and with no zone defense available.

Screen reinsured his nose in the Lehigh game and sat the last 9+ minutes. We will have to wait to see about his status, although his performance when he is available seems to have been affected by both the mask and also his bad knee.

Commentators said Screen is out for breaking team rules. Not sure if that is true or not.

Getting hard to watch these games. Let’s trade Cam Ayers for ND.

If this isn't rock bottom it's pretty close.

Lafayette was 2-14. Fire him right now. This is ridiculous

Close to the worst in the league at this point…in a year when the league as a whole is down.

This team and staff are a total dumpster fire (which is an insult to dumpster fires).

Bring back Paulsen and Fischer (if he gets let go by W&M after the season). Xavier brought Sean Miller back and it’s working so far.

DP and DF know how to build and sustain excellence in the PL.

Was thinking of something similar watching St. Joes - Fordham on Sat. There were two Assistant coaches there who would be great in Sojka (and in fact have been) plus at least 4 other assistants who would be better than anything there now.

Where is trying to get the bet matchups.....it seemed obvious here that we were missing opportunities. And then the zone in the second half caused total confusion....the coaches should have made a response but I just didn't see it.

You're dreaming. I'd like to have Paulsen back, too, even though I've never been a sycophant like you. But there's no way that Bucknell would pay even half of what he would demand to come back. And that's assuming he would come back at all. As to Fischer, his head coaching experience is similar to ND's. Able to win with the previous coach's recruits and otherwise a disaster.

Can Davis be out for the next game to go take his kids to swim practice or something?

Pomeroy assigns the same weight to each game, regardless of how recent or how ancient, or it would be worse.

Massey ranks Bucknell #307 since he puts more weight on recent games. Sagarin ranks Bucknell #299 for the same reason.

Either way, it's awful and inexcusable. Last year they ended up #336 (with a high at any point in the season of #298), so I guess the ND apologists (if any still exist) would say he's doing a good job because the team is not as bad as last year.

In the four years that ND has had his own recruits, their best finish in the rankings was #242. Only once since scholarships were introduced had a Bison team done worse than 242nd (DP's first year) before 2020. At the end of the year, ND will have done it four consecutive years.

Well, I can 100% say that if Davis is not fired, we will not renew season tickets. I can take some losses if there is light at the end of the tunnel, but with Davis and staff, it is only more darkness ahead. It’s not even fun going to the games. We just go because we already paid. Well, and I get a dinner at Towne Tavern and a few Copper Ales. It is pathetic watching the video board and Todd urge the “crowd” to make noise. It is just such a world of difference in how we felt on game nights 3-4 years ago compared to today. Sadly, it’s also more difficult to feel connected to players. I’ve never felt connected to Davis. We’ve only had season tickets for 16 years, but enough is enough. If Bucknell doesn’t care then why should we?

That’s well stated MrPhillie. I’m not sure what’s going on here but Davis should have been fired long ago and yet he continues to act as if this is bump in the road.

He’s one of the worst coaches I’ve ever seen for a team I support. And I’m a Pittsburgh Pirate fan!

I liked Chuck Tanner and Jim Leyland, Husky. Come to think of it, maybe Jim Leyland is available.

One of the other worst coaches is Paul Harrison/

And it seems to me that the number of disciplinary suspensions is pretty high......don't know what that really means but it sounds like commitment and motivation is lacking. Have the coaches lost the respect of the team?

There's a low IQ in making adjustments and its clear for the other team in the adjustments they have to make. You can't win games up against that. The disciplinary suspensions, low morale is just gravy, albeit bad gravy. Usually their talent level is good enough to overcome these 2-14 teams, but now they can't even do that. That's concerning. They're going to be playing these better teams, it will be like taking a knife to a gun fight. Not going to be a fun rest of January and February for the players, or coaches. Is there any way to turn it around? Play Lebanon Valley best 2 out of 3?

Living on Long Island, where there is no way you are going to see or hear a Bucknell score unless you go looking for it, I end up watching most games on a delay basis. Occasionally it might not be until the next day.
Not knowing the outcome, watching the archived replay is basically the same as watching live except I can skip commercials, and blow through halftime.
There is a major disadvantage, however. When watching the ESPN replay if you fast forward through a commercial, or hit pause for any reason the progress bar appears at the bottom and not only shows you where you are on the telecast, but also at the bars end shows how long the telecast runs. Thus within minutes of starting to watch th LC game, which Bucknell took control of early, I realized this game was going to go to overtime, because the total telecast time was well over 2 hours, and regulation college hoops games don’t run that long. So as Bison built a double figure lead I knew they were going to blow it!
Just thought I’d mention something that has nothing to do with how bad this team is playing, and the fact whatever hope I had for a possible decent PL season has now morphed into wondering if they will even win a game.

How much did you won by betting on this?

Another topic; Lafayette has this unique scoreboard that shows the score of the team with the lead in green, trailing team in red, and yellow if tied. This is especially helpful in knowing the way the game is going.

And now for the battle of the 0-4's

If we keep losing do we get the top pick in the draft?

Seriously the Patriot League is in serious trouble if it intends to be competitive in monied sports.

Another watershed game tonight, battle for the bottom.

I decided not to go because of a recent NJ law that bans plastic and paper grocery bags......I wasn't able to find an old one to wear (Remember the New Orleans Aints a while back?
