Yale makes the trek to wintry Ithaca to play the Big Red in a nationally-televised contest (ESPNU) at 5PM today.

After a solid pre-season, Coach Jones' team has had a surprisingly slow start to the IL portion of their schedule, with three very tight games that have left them 1-2. The Dogs have had an unfortunate hand in proving that anyone can beat anyone anywhere on any given night in this League. Yale will be looking to make amends for their slow league start and not return to New Haven at 1-3.

Other than the second half against Syracuse, Cornell also played really well in the pre-season and, actually, the first five halves of the league season. Their home win over Penn was keyed by their 13-0 run midway through the second half. However, Princeton's solid second half Saturday left the Big Red with a 2-1 league record in second place, one game ahead of the whole rest of the league that is collectively tied for third place at 1-2.

Expect another two-possession game today with a lot of bumping, pawing, and grinding with shooting percentages in the mid-40's. Both teams need this early season win big time. Yale needs to get back on track, but Cornell needs to defend its home court.

Penn is 2-1 also, not 1-2 and tied with the rest of the League

Very very impressive. Cornell did to Yale what they did to Penn— just turn the speed and pressure up a notch and went on a crushing run.

A 41-12 run over the last 12 minutes. 10 for 11 from the field, 17-18 from the stripe in that run. When is the last time an Ivy did that to Yale? When this team gets rolling, they are fricking impressive.

When Yale was up 15, Barstool had Cornell plus 11.5 and 9 to 1 to win!

For the game, Cornell had 1 offensive rebound, and Yale had 2.
