From the article:
"Perkins – who has accepted a basketball scholarship from the University of Pennsylvania – somehow managed to top that by scoring 47 points as Landon beat Episcopal, 76-66."

I think Perkins may fit the Barry Pierce prototype more than Monroe. Monroe is a specialist who is limited outside of his specialties. Barry Pierce was more of a Swiss army knife. He had a little of everything, though maybe not a single defining sjk ut I can see Perkins being like Matt Howard at the 3 or 4 position. If he is a strong defender and hustler, he could really make a difference. If he can knock down his outside and mid-range shots too, then he could impact the team like Barry Pierce.

Video of Landon's last game - an upset win against the top team in their conference. Perkins is #11.

I haven't watched all of it, but have seen enough to agree with Q03's friend.
