This time Wojcik. Really well-deserved. Playing both the most complete and most impactful games of his career. He's played brilliantly in the last four games, and he looks like the senior out there.

Don't look now but you've had three of the last for POWs from Brown, each a different guy. Does any other team have three different players that have won it this season, let alone within a month's time?
LET'S go BRU-no (duh. nuh. nuh-nuh-nuh)

Bruno, I completely agree with your comments on Wojcik. It seems his game is maturing before our eyes each week. His takes to the basket are now under control and deliberate. As opposed to his Flying Wallenda - type moves into the lane, where the ball is thrown off the backboard with hopes of success. He has also started to shoot off the dribble. I believe he hit a huge three in the Dartmouth game when he took two dribbles his the left, jumped and turned toward the hoop, then sent a high arching shot that swished through the net.

He goes after rebounds very aggressively, with an “I own this” attitude. And his basketball IQ enhances his ability to find the open man. The game notes for today’s game on brownbears.com mention that Wojcik is one of only 14 players in the country to be in their conference top 10 in points, rebounds, and assists. He is 7th in points (13.8), 3rd in rebounds (7.1), and 6th in assists (3.1).

It’s great that our front court returns intact next year. However, Wojcik’s all-around game will be hard to replace. We’ll worry about that in time. Presently the Bears have a big game for third place today. It’s been a while since Brown had as meaningful a game.

GoBears!!!
