And Austin was ROW on the Men's side.
Third different Tiger to win, and Pearse won
twice. Bodes well for the future, even though we
will lose a generational talent in Tosan.

We have been extremely fortunate in developing big men with Richmond and Tosan. No one could have predicted how great they both would be. I suggested to Brett MacConnell that he should get over to England and find another player. He responded that the kid from Chicago coming in will be a very good one. Hope we keep his commitment. Henderson went out to see him again this week. The freshmen we have are phenomenal. A maker and Jones used to outrecruit us but not as much lately.

the Chicago recruit is a guard, right?
I am hoping Hooks and Johnson both
come back healthy next year. Two touted
recruits with size.

Maybe he's talking about Jacob Huggins, a 6'8" rim protector from Harvard-Westlake (28-1), the #9 team in the country, according to MaxPreps rankings. (Mason Hooks is also from H-W.) Video clips I've seen show off his defense, but not much offense.

Lots of clips on Max Hoops. Sturdy body, runs the floor, soft hands. Finishes well at the rim. One three point shot recorded; smooth stroke.

The Chicago kid is Davis, a backcourt player. Hooks was doing radio on Friday night and is not expected to play again.

Any reason given?
