Cornell really needs a sweep this weekend to keep their IL tournament hopes alive.

With Dartmouth's path to the IL tournament also calling for a sweep this weekend, this should be a really good game. Especially after last weekend's win over Princeton, Dartmouth proved they are a better team than the one Cornell beat in Hanover in early January.

Cornell, coming off a three-game road skid, does not have any recent wins to prove they have also improved. All things considered, the Big Red, while getting swept at the P's, did play pretty well. Then came last weekend's disappointing first half at Brown.

Cornell will be at full strength tonight. If they tend to business the way they did earlier in the season, they should have a mild edge. However, opposing teams now understand Cornell's approach better. Lots of potential for a great game.

Cornell up at the half, 45-39, in a well-played game.

Game is closer than score indicates. Nazir Williams led the way with 18. Big Red are definitely glad to have him back. Both teams ran off their own double digit scoring runs.

Dartmouth is playing at/near the level which earned them W's over Princeton, Harvard, Yale, and Penn. To the eye, Cornell seems to have regained most of the mojo which was somewhat missing from their past three games. The Big Red full court pressure defense was effective. Both teams reached the Bonus+.

Great half coming up.

The second half was indeed great! Game ended at 80-80 in regulation, with an Adelekun 25ftr rattling out at the buzzer.

Led by a couple Dolan 3's, Cornell put a 12-0 run on Dartmouth to start OT and won 95-83.

This was definitely a game befitting two opponents playing for a place in this post-season's Jadwin 4. Tight defense, good shooting, a tribute to two programs on the rise.

Weird stat from the game: Dartmouth had 8 more turnovers than Cornell but Dartmouth won the points off turnover battle 22-17. Not sure I've ever seen that before.

The Green did a great job of minimizing the impact of the turnovers that Cornell's pressure inevitably gets; it was almost enough.
