Harvard leads 40-34 at the half.
This looked like Half#3 of the earlier game at Lavietes Pavilion. Don't let the score fool you. The Crimson had the upper hand throughout this half, maintaining a double digit lead at least half the time. Chris Ledlum showed the way with 18P/6R. Harvard's frontcourt defenders were waiting for Cornell's backcuts, stealing many of those passes. Their big men stopped most of Cornell's inside attempts. The Big Red's outside shots were not falling.
Over the last three minutes, Harvard's defensive intensity seemed to wane, allowing the Red to close the gap a bit.
It's the second night of a traditional Ivy back-to-back with Saturday night officials. No telling what it might bring. Only a Harvard win keeps the Crimson's tourney hopes alive.
