Bucknell, the 10th seed, takes on #7 American tonight. AU is about a 5-point favorite.
If you want to make a lot of money - and think the Bison are going to win the PL tourney - you can wager $100 to win $25,000 on at least one site. That's how far BU has fallen under Nathan Davis.

I wonder how many fans packed the fan bus? They had trouble filling that bis even when Bucknell was reasonably good.

At least the game had one highlight - Elvin Edmonds' basket from almost 75 feet to end the first half. I can't remember any Bison shot that long. Have there been any?
Timmerman picked up the world's easiest assist for that basket, merely making a short inbound pass to an unguarded Edmonds. Under the statisticians' rules, there is no way that is an assist.

I didn’t watch the game but I saw Elvin’s basket. Maybe it was just the view I had, but as players were leaving the court I didn’t see anyone excited. Typically shots like that give a team a boost of energy but the players I saw did not look excited in the least.

Not sure about the distance, but I remember a looooong tournament buzzer-beater in a losing game at Navy way back in the 1990s, I think.

Looking at the media guide and elsewhere, it may have been in a 76-75 loss at Navy in the championship game, with Gordon Mboya making the buzzer-beater.

Paul Olkowski threw in about an 80-footer at the buzzer to cut Fordham's lead to 80-75 at the buzzer of the 92 Championship game at Lehigh.

In noticed this tweet from Sylvia Burwell, AU's president:
"Go Eagles! Nice win over Bucknell. Excited for tomorrow's @PatriotLeague quarterfinal against #2 Navy."
Looking at her tweets, I see that, despite AU generally having a horrible athletics program, that she has often tweeted about some AU sports item. In contrast, how often - if ever - do we see something from Dr. Bravman. In fact, how often is he seen at a game? I haven't noticed him in Sojka for years.

He had his picture taken on the new floor. He thought it was for country line dancing and barbeques.

I think he actually showed up when they were successful, especially for photo ops at tournament time. It was like "who was that masked man?"

This is about ND and JT, not JB.
If we Bison supporters feel strongly about the program and the need for better leadership, I encourage all of us to send emails or letters to JB and JT. The sooner the better.
President Bravman does a great job leading the university and his attendance at games is not the core issue here.

But his support for the athletic program in general, or lack thereof, is an important issue.

Boston and Army going to OT at West Point. Lafayette up by 23 over Lehigh at halftime. Didn't see that coming.

Army wins in OT. LU has cut the deficit to 14 points with 5:30 left. And AU has a slim lead at Navy with two minutes left.

Navy, Lehigh, and Boston U all eliminated. LC will host AU in one semi. Not surprisingly, Brett Reed with a less than stellar coaching job.

Sheesh…what will the league look like next year? With Colgate losing several key players, will there be any quality teams in the PL?

Don't count on Colgate losing more than Richardson and Lynch-Daniels. Records and MOffatt, both All-PL this year, are both eligible to come back for a 5th year. Judging by the past two years, it wouldn't be surprising to see them playing for Colgate again next year. If so, they would be a heavy favorite again.
Lehigh could have all of their starters return, depending on whether Taylor opts for a 5th year. In that case, they would be the clear #2.

DeChellis doesn't have a stellar record in the PL tournament either.

May be true but Reed didn't have his team do anything in the last 2 minutes when Lehigh had a possibility of pulling it out. Not fouling, not pressing defense..

With Colgate blowing out Army today, I’m curious why Matt Langel has not received interest from upper mid-majors. He’s always seemed like a super solid coach and has had very good success.

I obviously do not know he won’t nor do I have any inside knowledge that he did not receive interest in the past….I’m just saying after several very successful years and seemingly a good recruiter/coach/person, he’s still at Colgate. Good/great coaches don’t grow on trees and I’d think he would/should have an opportunity if he chooses.
