It probably doesn’t make sense to get overly excited about any incoming freshman; however, I think Penn may be getting a really good player. He was recently named the IAC POY.

This player appears to be improving by leaps and bounds every year and by all accounts seems like a character guy with a plus motor and a strong work ethic. He kind of reminds me of a guy named Dingle, albeit I’m getting way too far ahead of myself. We should be so lucky.

Always tricky to read Steve’s recruiting (same is true of Henderson and Earl), but if I have to guess, this is an anchor class like AJ/Betley/Goodman and Dingle/Martz/MLL/Monroe/C harles.

So far so good. I’d love to see another 4/5 in the class.

Agreed. I do like the video of some of these players. They seem to be playing and developing well, and will be good fits with Donahue. Some of them can both handle the ball and shoot, which is always good to have. They also seem athletic enough to get to the hoop. I would love to see some of these guys arrive ready to play with Dingle.

Hope they are athletic enough to rebound and play defense also.

The eldest of my twin boychiks is a lefty.

FWIW--a superb basketball stroke.

Me too. Getting late for adding another player, but you never know. I guess silence on that front could be indicative of confidence in a healthy Larson or Ubochi. Otherwise, we look like a Spinoso injury next year would be crippling.

Of course, the fact that Gerhart seems to be the only true big in the class is part of why I think he’s part of an anchor class. Kind of looks like they expect him to be able to contribute quickly.

Gerhart is a player. I’d be surprised if he doesn’t contribute as a freshman

A player I would like to see end up in the class is Gavin Walsh who is playing this year at IMG Academy. He looks like he be really good paired with Gerhart.

We offered him a while ago. I don’t know if anything is happening now in terms of mutual interest or level of current activity.
