I have had less than ideal experience with Egyptair, but the really bad one was Garruda, national airline of Indonesia.

If they were flying either out of Sacramento, then my athletic donations are not being well spent.

A quick Google search shows me that Georgetown, Notre Dame and Cal are all looking for new head coaches. That's three historic high major schools with great academics who are desperate for a culture change.

I don't know if GU would go back to the Princeton well again, but Cal and Notre Dame must be interested. Hate to think about stuff like this, but when a mid or low major team makes noise in the Big Dance, there's always a good chance the head coach leaves.

I know Sydney doubled his salary, and he did not come from money (does Mitch have a trust fund??), but he walked into what seemed to be a good situation a Faifield; just not as easy to recruit at a non-big name institution with academic standards.

To a certain extent, Carmody and JTIII, who could have stayed forever at Princeton, never could achieve similar success elsewhere.

JTIII took Georgetown to a final four.

I know Sydney dropped that line about loving Princeton basketball and then left, but listening to Mitch's Ivy Tournament and now NCAA press conferences, I would be absolutely shocked if he left to take a Power 5 offer. Instead of a generalized expression of love of Princeton basketball, Mitch says more specific things like "I love coming into Jadwin every day," and "I love being around these guys." It just sounds like someone who has what he wants.
But who knows?

just watched then post-game press conference.
Another reason not be proud ofnthis team and hope Mitch stays.
Missourin showed real grace in a tough moment as well.

My bad on Tosan. I coulda sworn he was a junior. I'd imagine both he and Kellman will play elsewhere next season?

the Times article said Tosan would more likely go pro,
but I imagine both of them and Langborg will get plenty
of portal interest.

The storylines in Sacramento were rich. The Pete Carril and Geoff Petrie connections, of course, but also the ties between Princeton and Northwestern, which was also in Sacramento. Alas the Wildcat fans I talked to were not very complementary of Billy Carmody.

What an absolute joy to have been there for those two games. And now on to Louisville!

Also UCLA was there. And the announcers said that Langborg had led his La Jolla Country Day team to a state championship in the Golden 1 Center. His Princeton Bio includes this:

"as team captain, led LJCD to the Division 3 California State Championship earning MVP in the process with a 23 point, 17 rebound, 6 assist performance."

GU just hired Cooley from Providence, so Friars job is open. Cooley was making $3.5M.

St. Johns hired Pitino, so Iona is open - but not going to happen.
