Two interesting articles. At least Princeton is making Penn some money. At one time, I believe that the Ivies divided the money into nine shares, with the team that played in the NCAA Tournament getting two shares and the other seven schools getting one share each.

So to put it in terms we all understand, just a couple more wins and the Tigers will have paid Amaker's salary this year.

Thanks for the links which largely support the suspicion that the Power 5 interests rule the selection committee to steer much of the annual Tournament windfall to their member institutions.

I don't think it is suspicious. It is a FACT. Remember that the committee looks at Quad 1 records, games the Ivy teams can't get because those teams will only play an Ivy on their own home court and even those games are very difficult for Ivy teams to get.

And Princeton winning, while it will positively affect the league's brand and put some coins in the school's pockets, definitely won't help the scheduling problem.

I'm not sure if we should blame the NCAA for favoring the power conferences or our league for turning itself into a minor conference.

These two positions are not mutually exclusive.
