I see reports that Dame Adelekun has committed to
Loyola- Chicago. He is a very big get for them.
It will be interesting to see where the other
Covid-affected Seniors land.
Tough to watch the Ivy talent leave, but it is
further evidence of the League's quality.

In addition to Adelekun, Verbal Commits reports that Jacob O'Connell and Keeshawn Kellman have "transferred from Princeton" and Chuks Uzoka has "transferred from Cornell."

Garrett Johnson has tweeted that he will be transferring with 4 years of eligibility. Tough one, very talented guy and a big recruiting win for Princeton but he had health battles and never was able to get on the court.

For Cornell, they also list Filien as transferring, but so far not Dolan -- who could be a helpful piece for someone.

I'm sure Uzoka is fine young man, but he played just 8 minutes in two games over his Big Red career. Is he really transferring?

I think Tosan more likely to play pro ball in Europe than NBA. Lots of Ivy guys there and many who have played several seasons.

Thanks for the info, Toothless. I am hoping he goes into the portal. I would love to watch him for another year even if for another college team.
I suspect Langborg will go to the transfer portal and get a lot of interest.

Ryan is a perfect 5th year candidate. I never felt he reached his full potential until the tourney, where he was an absolute beast on both ends. Northwestern also has a great business school if he wants to get his MBA there.

1.Ryan likely off the bench, no?

2. How about Keeshawn at Florida Gulf Coast? Does he start?

I think Langborg will start. NU's 2 starting guards, Buie and Audige, are seniors with only their 5th/covid year left. Both declared for the draft while maintaining their eligibility, though Audige tweeted a definitive-sounding goodbye.

FGCU has a couple of returning rotation bigs, so nothing's guaranteed there. I don't know if Kellman can stay on the court for 25+ mpg due to fouls, but I suspect he went to a low major program because the coaching staff offered him a chance at bigger minutes.

USC also signed Harvard's Mckenzie Forbes out of the portal. Makes sense since Forbes had played for USC coach when she was at Cal (and USC coach is former Ivy player herself).

While the article below is mainly about Langborg it also includes this about Jaelin:

"In addition to Langborg, Princeton fans can expect to see another former Tiger next season in the Big Ten, as former Princeton guard Jaelin Llewellyn ’22 transferred to Michigan last year. After an injury ended his season less than 10 games in, he plans to return for the 2023–24 season, where he’ll play against former teammate Langborg twice during the regular season."

USC’s head coach, who played at Brown, brought her former Cal team to Providence several years ago. Maybe, the Ivy-influenced Trojans can schedule at least one game against an Ivy opponent.

Konrad Kiszka NYU:

Konrad Kiszka | Previous School: Princeton University | Hometown: Newtown, PA | 6-7 Wing/Forward Klatsky on Kiszka: "Konrad joins us as a recent graduate of Princeton University, fresh off a Sweet 16 berth in the DI NCAA Basketball Tournament. Konrad is a wing/forward who brings poise and high IQ to the forward position. At 6-7, he can handle the ball, make good decisions and step out and hit the three. Being part of a winning program at Princeton, we (sic) are excited for Konrad to bring pieces of that winning culture and togetherness to the Violets."

Garrett Johnson, who transferred from Princeton to George Washington, had 21 points & 9 rebounds in GW's opening night win over Stonehill.

- Johnson began his career at Princeton, where he redshirted during the 2021–22 season. Last year, he withdrew from school after a rare benign tumor was discovered in his hip. He underwent multiple surgeries and nine rounds of chemotherapy to treat the tumor before being cleared to return to the court last winter. He announced his decision to transfer to GW in April. -
