Bucknell at Penn State Saturday December 2, per John Griffin on Twitter.

He says the game should be called the "Flannery Bowl," given it will match two former Flannery players turned D1 head coaches:

I wonder if Coach Rhoades will hook up the Bison with a game in Lewisburg.

This is great! This should be an annual matchup. Although Bucknell will get hammered, I like it.

This one should make res happy. The Bison will travel to the Olean metropolitan area on November 22nd to face St. Bonaventure. Hopefully there will be a return game in Sojka next year.

2023-24 Schedule
06-21-23 01:30 PM - Post#356897
    In response to Bison137

Here is what the schedule looks like thus far:

Nov 11th - Niagara (A)
Nov 14th - La Salle (A)
Nov 20th - Duke (A)
Nov 20th - Southern Indiana (H)
Nov 22nd - St. Bonaventure (A)
Dec 2nd - Penn State (A)

TBD NJIT (A)
TBD St. Peter's (H)
TBD Marist (A)
TBD Merrimack (A)

Still need a few more home games. One possibility is Richmond, who the Bison played visited in each of the past two seasons. Eavh series with Richmond in the past has included a game in Sojka. Also I wouldn't be surprised to see the series with St. Francis continue, but if it did it would likely be in Loretto.

One other note. As mentioned by BRW, the La Salle game shows up as being played at the infamous Tom Gola Arena. But looking at the La Salle message board, some of the info coming from the university suggests that the "renovation" will begin by fall and they will end up playing in the Palestra and/or at Temple. The conceptual plan that was posted a year ago makes it look more like a new arena than a basic renovation. Raising the money may still be an issue.

The day before Thanksgiving. Plenty of good seats will be avalable. Just make sure you get back to Lewisburg before Saturday. Driving through Potter and Tioga counties during deer season is always an adventure.

Yes, I’d say more home games are in order. Can’t imagine that isn’t a priority with a focus on getting this program back to where it was as far as fan interest. Hard to build up a fan base with palmist all Away games.

SBUnfurled tweeted that this game is a buy game for Bona. He's almost always correct in these matters, so a return game is probably unlikely.

This tweet from Rothstein was posted two years ago by BRW:

https://twitter.com/JonRothstein/status/1 405266423...

"Source: Richmond and Bucknell will start a three-year series on 12/22/21 at Richmond.

22-23: Bucknell at Richmond
23-24: Richmond at Bucknell"

Hopefully the 2023-24 info is still accurate.

With the addition of the Richmond game above, that makes three home OOC games. In recent years, the norm has been four D1 games, and I expect that to be the number when the schedule is released.

This is what the OOC schedules have looked like in the scholarship era, with the year shown being for the latter part of the season (i.e. 2022 means the 2021-22 season).

No too bad. At PSU is super close so really we will have no problem attending at least six OOC games. A weeknight away game is just so difficult for us.

Were you referring to this schedule? I don't see it there. (Maybe it was deleted after being inadvertently posted?)

The Delaware game was announced on Saturday at the Lewisburg Parade. It was listed on the paper that the teams passed out to the parade folks.
