Probably Comesana at center, plus Henderson, Hsu, and Collins, with Lauder pressed by Weiss.

Did Comesana play at all last year? What about Susie Raifu or Mary Lebon?

No, she was injured. I never saw much offense from Raifu, so I am just assuming that a healthy Comesana will start ahead of her.
Of course, on this matter, as on several others, I could be completely wrong.

Should be quite a season—we lost a ton of talent but hopefully can “reload” as does Princeton every year instead of rebuilding.

"Reload" is definitely preferable to "rebuild," when your team is coming off a big season. As you said, that's the mold you are looking for. However, what's specially interesting with the Lions is that despite all the graduation losses, Coach G will have more much depth than last year. Even if the team suffers the almost inevitable injury or two, Megan will have a much deeper bench than last year. With maybe two or three exceptions, almost everyone on this year's roster has a chance to be in the starting rotation.

Megan posted a tribute to Al Bagnoli; I would like to see Jim Engles do the same.

Thanks Chet--nice tribute from Coach G.
Looking forward to seeing how our men fare in their four exhibition games in Switzerland and Italy beginning next week. Good luck to the Lions!
Will be interesting to see what Coach Bagnoli will be doing next at Columbia

Lions win their first exhibition game of their European Tour with Jaden Cooper named as MVP and Noah and Zavian joining him in scoring double figures. Hopefully, a good omen for the coming season.

I have always liked Jaden Cooper’s game—smooth and athletic.

Agree with you that JADEN COOPER has a "smooth and athletic game>". I think he has all the tools to become one of the Ivy League's best players. Same with McLean. Have you seen a box score anywhere? It would not be nice to see the game stats. Also, it appears that not everyone on the roster made the trip. No first years? Murphy?

Thanks Old--the purpose, I guess, is to make certain they actually enroll at the school and play on the basketball team for at least one year.

I believe the rule (which may be an NCAA rule) on who can attend is based on when an accepted student becomes a full time student ... some schools that happens at the summer classes before freshman year, some it does not happen until 1st day of class in September ... since no all freshman can go, it was determined pre fax machine, that since it would be unfair to some schools, then none can go.
To me this is one of the myopic Ivy decisions .. each school has +/- and for many student-athletes this may be their first trip outside the U.S. Why does the harm to the institutions whose freshman may not attend, out weight the harm to all the student-athletes who do benefit from a foreign trip?

Well Columbia's very nice cultural European Trip is almost done and the Lions have won all four of their exhibition games, but so little detailed information has been disseminated thus far by Coach Engles or the Athletic Department that it is impossible to assess where matters stand regarding the upcoming season. Basically, we have the same players and coaches as last season when we finished in the Ivy League cellar for the third consecutive season.
