They look better. Whether they look better against Princeton is a different matter.

All I see on witter are some game highlights showing the Columbia players hitting a number of uncontested jump shots from behind the key. I would not draw any conclusions one way or another from a highlight film. I do not understand your reference to Princeton. Everyone knows that Mitch Henderson has Jim Engles number, but so do all the other head coaches in the Ivy League. It has become a bit of farce, hasn't it.

The Princeton reference was just an off-handed indicator--we may look sharper against a European club team, but whether we're more competitive against the better Ivy teams remains an open question.
Brown, MacClean, DLR should give sufficient guard play to win a few more games. Anything more than that is going to depend on how much we develop up front.

I agree with your two points that our guard play should be sufficient to win a few more games than last year, but anything more than that is likely to depend upon how much we develop up front. Last year we were just awful up front and the coaching staff completely wasted whatever talent the players had. Hopefully, there will be some meaningful improvement and the two new front court players can make an immediate impact. Of course, we have come to expect little to no improvement in the skills of our players during the Engles Era, but maybe this year will be different.
