Wow, what a broad brush you use. Every school has it's winners and loosers, and they can't control who visits message boards.
And if you want to discuss who was happier when Arkansas left the SWC and why, feel free to bring it up on any of our message boards.

It will be far worse than Kansas in OKC. The largest U of A alumni base outside of the state is in Dallas. When we played there every year for the SWC conference tournament we referred to their arena as "Barnhill South."
We actually played Texas Tech there this year as well in AA arena. It was a "home" game for Tech technically, but their fans were outnumbered. You can count on about 90 percent of the tickets ending up in Razorback fans hands.
Good luck.
Bring it on! By the way, when you get a chance look up which teams have the best road records in the country.
Well, as a Hogs fan, here is what ya'll should know....The folks aren't lying when they say the seats will be filled with Arkansas fans and while that might not bother you (since you referred to the tough places you played) please take note of this stat...since '88 Arkansas is 34-3 in games played in the state of Texas and 18-0 in games played in Dallas. It will truly be a home game for the Hogs, good luck.

Not to mention we are playing some of our best basketball right now. We are bigger than Bucknell, faster than Bucknell, and have more talented players than Bucknell. We got robbed by the selection committee but we can't dwell on that. This is not dissing Bucknell, but if you follow any SEC bball you would know that. Ronnie Brewer is only a Junior but still projected top 10 draft pick. Jonathon Modica will go pro. Steven Hill is one of the best defending big men in the country, and had a game earlier where he had double digit blocks.

Got to agree with stats33, there will be thousands of Razorback fans at the game. IF Bucknell fans don't know how to call the hogs, you'll learn real quick friday. GO HOGS!!!

Well, I happened to see Ray Bucknell ventured over to an Arkansas board and started to talk crap about beating Arkansas friday. I don't think Bucknell fans know enough about Arkansas. We are about 4 or 5 baskets away from being in the same sentence as the other top 10 teams.

Arkansas has a nice team. They're very athletic and have some very talented players. It's a tough game for Bucknell.
But Top 10? You gotta be kidding.

Well, before the season we were projected to win the SEC. It didn't work out that way because we had some problems early in the year. As I already stated, we were up 16 on Bama, 18 on UK, and 2 on LSU and shooting FTs with 20 seconds left. Those 3 wins right there plus our one possession loss to MSU because we didn't wake up would make us 27-4. We are 26th right now. How would that not make us in the top 10? We lost 6 SEC games this year by a combined total of like 16 points. We have only lost one game this year by double digits, and that was to Maryland by 13 but it was a 6 point game with 2 minutes left, and we started fouling. We have played UConn and lost by 9, but was a 2 point game with 1:30 left. We beat Kansas, Missouri State, Tennessee @ UT, Florida, and Bama.

So to you, "projected to win the SEC" is the same as "picked either 2nd or 3rd in the SEC West by every major publication and picked 3rd in the West by the SEC Media." Interesting spin there.

You're letting the facts blind you from the fake truth.
The biggest difference between the Bison schedule and the Hogs schedule is that Arkansas didn't lose to anyone by more than 15 points. All of the Arkansas games were competitive to the final buzzer, which leads to the point about the 6 conference losses by a combined 16 points. The loss in the SEC tournament was only by 3 as well.
After those 6 losses, Arkansas was 5-6 in conference, then proceeded to close out conference play with 5 straight wins. That streak included wins over Florida, Alabama, and @Tennessee. Florida and Tennessee were both ranked #10 at the time they lost to the Hogs.
If you look at recent results, I think you would have to view Arkansas quite differently.
We won't know anything for sure until they play the game, though.

Penn, you do realize when you read those predictions, that isn't the entire publication saying that. That is one person's opinion, and predicted to finish 2nd is still good. That is not the entire ESPN or CBS or SI saying the Hogs will finish then. Dick Vitale said he thought we would be 1st or 2nd and we are a Sweet 16 team this year and a Final 4 team next year. Fox Sports broadcasters said we would win the West, and make a run in the tourney. Rick Majerus said we had the most talent in the SEC, we just couldn't play consistantly. Now, we are playing a lot better. You guys could beat us. Anything can happen. Good Luck.
Steve Lavin just said Ronnie Brewer and Arkansas' bench is too much for Bucknell to handle.

Another Hog fan here. I'm just popping in to say hello. You guys look like a tough match-up, but I think we’ll come away with a close victory. Anyway, good luck, and have fun in Dallas.

That's interesting that you guys claim that you "should have" won more games because you were up by 18 and blew the lead. What about the 7 games that you WON by 6 points or less? Do those factor into your logic at all? If you're going to talk about your close losses, then you have to talk about your close wins as well. Sorry, but moral victories don't count towards your record.
If you apply the same logic, we could say that Bucknell would be undefeated if they would have scored more points than the other teams in the 4 games that they lost this season. It just doesn't make any sense, so you won't win anyone over with any arguments that you "should be" a higher seed just because you blew a bunch of big leads against good teams. Obviously you guys know more than the selection committe....
As Bill Parcells said: "You are what your record says you are".
And that's the difference between you guys and the top teams in the country....the top teams don't generally blow double-digit leads multiple times in a season....

The Hogs record could have been better if we had taken care of business at the start of the conference season. But we didn't therefore a 7 seed was probably the best we could have expected. So an 8 isn't a shock to anyone that isn't wearing their Razorback glasses.
I've gone into each game this year wondering which team will show up. The one that beat Florida or the one that lost at Mississippi. I'm looking forward to a competitive game. The Bison experience in the tournament scares me.
I hope those of you that go to Dallas enjoy the trip just not the outcome of the game.

Agreed. The tourney is a completely different ballgame and really anything can happen. This game could come down to the final possession or it could be a double-digit win for either team.
I'm glad some of you hog fans came to this board to start some healthy ribbing and to educate us more about your team. All in good fun. Looking forward to a competitive game with you.

No, actually there is only one game you guys should have won and that was against NIU. Arkansas out played UK and Bama. We made a great run against LSU and had the game in our hands. We were not able to close a game out. Some of the games we won by 6 points or so don't indicate how the game went. WE beat Missouri State by 4, but we were up double digits the entire game. We beat Texas State by 6 or 7 but were up 18 at one point. We just had a drought against Bama and UK late to lose. The games we won by single digits were not usually close, or we just out played the other team. Bama is the only game I can remember that we were out played most of the game that we won. We were down 16 with 7 minutes and came back to win.

I saw someone said the Bison experience scares them. Sure, they have been there a few times in the last couple of years, but haven't you guys only won 1 game? You guys beat Kansas then lost the next round right? So that makes you guys lik 1-3 or 1-4. Monmouth has been to the tournament the last 3 years or so too, but doesn't mean they have good tournament experience.
