That’s the best we’ve looked on offense since the Aiken teams. Mack is legit, we missed Lesmond so much last year, Pigge’s shot is at least respectable this year, Okpara is an inside-out mismatch for so many people, and Ajogbor is such a load inside.
The biggest thing is the pieces fit so much better this year. We should be a lot better than people thought. There’s talent but maybe not depth.

Completely agree.
The issue last year was we did not have a point guard, so we continually turned the ball over and lacked movement.
Mack is legit and gives us a pace and fluidity on offense that has been missing for quite some time.
Harvard enters this year with low expectations and some good young pieces… excited to watch this group grow together and hopefully put up a good fight in the Ivy League.

Really concerned about depth. I consistently lament the injury to Evan Nelson. We are a twisted ankle away from Wojcik at the point. Nelson/Mack/Lesmond would have been a really potent backcourt. The mysterious ‘retirement’ of Sam Silverstein is another missed opportunity.
Princeton and Yale are better, but with Nelson and Silverstein this squad should be heading to the league tournament. Instead , we’re still a long shot.

Incredibly impressed with Pigge’s development agree with depth concerns at the point. But I like this team.
They showed real toughness last night when Rice stormed back to take the lead. Calmly ran off an 8-0 run. We were also getting home jobbed a bit on a Friday night by the refs and no one got out of sorts.

Completely agree about this team’s poise. There was a stretch where Rice was getting a call every time they drove the ball no matter what actually happened. But we didn’t lose our cool, even when their crowd went wild after they took the lead. Mack in particular was impressive, especially for a rookie. He got a big assist to Pigge, and then made a tough pull up two at a key moment. He was unflappable.
Unfortunately, also agree about how much we’re going to miss Nelson—not just for what he brings, but also because his absence means Wojcik sees the floor. We need Simon or Nesbitt to pull ahead for him in the rotation.

Interesting that Rice like Harvard with Ledlum or Penn with Dingle lost to the transfer portal a ball-dominant player in Solari who ate a ton of possessions for them last year, so even the returning guys who were in the mix last year there are having to assume new roles for themselves in their rotation.
