Tigers up after 3Q 48-30 over the Toreros.

Suffocating defense, aggressive rebounding, excellent spacing, and fluid ball movement so far. Also a chance to see more of Mari Bickley, who looked confident and assertive and has scored 8 in extended minutes. Maddy St. Rose leading the team with 18 points. Fadima Tall entered the game right before the end of the quarter, I’m looking forward to seeing her play for the first time.

Too many TOs and fouls, not a pretty game, but the Tigers have been in control since the start.

Great D. Great to see use of some more players….in a small sample size, Fadima Tall looked ready to contribute. Bickley continues to impress.

Dangerous to project but…This class could rival or exceed the great class of ‘16, the class that matriculated as the class of ‘21, and the class of ‘23 that started as ‘22.

Good thing the bench is showing they’re capable—because foul trouble is epidemic. Kaitlyn has now DQ’ed in 2 of 4 games.

When Ashley Chea dribbled end to end for layup at the end of the third quarter, I loved Ellie's reaction on the bench: she put both hands on her head as if to say wow, did you see that?

These freshmen just need meaningful game action and I think all of them (even Olivia Hutcherson got in) will be able to contribute. The junior bigs (Morton, Hill and Thiers) are certainly not All-Ivy caliber, but they have shown significant growth over last year and will contribute over the next two years.

Jerry Carino of the Asbury Park Press ranked the Tigers #25 primarily because they are the only unbeaten team in the country that has not played at home. He has a great article up today.
