77-52, with Hsu 19, Page a career high 18 + 10 rbs, and Collins with 10.

The steady improvement continues. It was an especially positive sign to see Page contribute.

I only caught the final 5 mins of the game, but nice to see Page contribute. We really need her or someone else to step up to have any shot at the league title.

I heard Lance Meadow say that she tore her ACL last year. I think it was in the Cornell game when she landed awkwardly… I thought ACL tears take 10+ months of recovery time. She looks good all things considered.

True. Apart from Kitty Henderson who had one of her poorer shooting games (5 pts), everyone else is slightly behind my admittedly optimistic projections. Collins, who averaged 14 at Bucknell, is now averaging 11, and Riley Weiss, who MG is coaching up to become a more complete player, is just averaging 8. For us to have a shot, Page, Collins, or Weiss must improve significantly as the season progresses.

I'm ok with Collins averaging 10-12 points per game... I don't think they need much more than that. I never saw her play at Bucknell, but I imagine she was one of the main scoring options there, while she's more of a role player at Columbia. Similarly, Kayla Padilla at USC is in the starting lineup for the Trojans, but she's averaging 10 points less per game than she did at Penn last year.

The biggest (pleasant) surprise thus far has been the play of Nicole Stephens. I didn't expect anything more than garbage time minutes. And although she's averaging only 3 points/game, she does a lot of other things to help a team succeed... makes smart decisions and can knock down an open 3.

In 110 mins this season, she has 15 assists, 8 steals, 11 rebounds and only 2 turnovers. She plays solid D too, and is willing to sacrifice her body to take a charge.
