Something has clicked with us; this is the type of game that we would have lost in the second half last year. Lots of praise to go around: excellent substitution pattern to deal with LMD’s huge front court; great game by Brown at both ends of the court; likewise DLR. Two unsung heroes were Nolan’s with 13 off the bench and Tavroff in neutralizing the big front court advantage. Coach went 11 deep. Maybe he finally has the players he’s wanted, playing the way he wants them to play.

You asked for Tavroff, you got Tavroff--6 pts and 6 rbs in 15 minutes + the highest offensive score (133) of any Columbia player.
18 from DLR, 15 from Brown, 13 from Noland= 6 consecutive wins, and 7th longest winning streak in the nation.
+ we rise to 215 in Kenpom.

We went 11 deep and got good contributions from the bench. While we still lack front court size when Tavroff isn’t on the floor we compensate with good team speed and athleticism. I really like Noland’s game and the way he is being used.
