Spotlights Princeton in yesterday's CBS Sports column - includes a nugget that they were supposed to have an MTE this year with Xavier and Georgia but those teams backed out because they didn't want to play Princeton.

Column states there were contracts signed before the other teams backed out. I presume there was a clause permitting this.

Is there a "standard" termination for convenience clause in these agreements, and if so what does it say? Wondering about the value of such agreements if a party can unilaterally walk.

If the big boys are afraid of us, are we able to schedule top FCS teams like James Madison, Gonzaga, etc. They provide more of a challenge than some mid or lower tier FBS opponent.like Georgia or Vandy.

It seems ridiculous until you realize that a whole bunch of people's jobs might depend on getting past the bubble in March, and a loss to Princeton might just tip the balance. Of course, there is a network effect given the NCAA's stupid Quad system, where if no other good teams play a given team then losing to them becomes riskier.

I'm glad to see that Florida Atlantic's repeat campaign (aside from the upset by Bryant) appears to be going pretty well. I wonder how much trouble they have had in scheduling.

PU up to 49 on KenPom now. Top 50! Didn’t see that coming preseason.

I don't understand the torvik ranking system. Yale is ranked 5 places higher than the Tigers. I think it is 75 and 80

Highest Princeton has ranked in December or later since at least 2011 (that's as far back as KenPom keeps in-season rankings)
