Columbia 47-45 after 3Q… the Lions are really struggling in this one. Maybe a hangover or letdown after the big win vs Villanova. The Lions are 5 for 15 from the FT line… not a typo.

You're right--the first three quarters were pretty ugly, but we pulled away with 29 pts. in the 4th to win 76-66. Hsu with her usual 21, and Stephens with a career high 14.

The first three quarters were not so great, but the Lions exploded in the fourth quarter to defeat a very athletic Memphis team 76-66. Nicole Stevens came off the bench to score a career high of 14 points to lead Columbia. Another positive was the improved play of the two centers, Noe Comesandra and Susie Rafu. We missed too many free throws tonight, but overall it was another solid performance by a very good Columbia team that is fun to watch.

One more game before the winter break… Sunday vs Wagner. If all goes well, I expect many bench players to see significant minutes vs the Seahawks of Staten Island who have a NET ranking of 356/360.

I missed the first quarter… did Paige Lauder get hurt? She only played 5 mins.
I also noticed that Olivia Cooper is no longer listed on the roster on the Lions’ website. I know she was with the team in mid-October, so something happened recently.

I missed Cooper's departure. Maybe she was the third ranked center and just too far down on the depth chart?
Also, has anyone seen Emily Montes play? She is still listed on the roster but has not gotten into any games.

Don’t quote me on this, but I don’t think Montes has suited up this year. I’ve seen her on the bench, but she appears to be in street clothes. She doesn’t appear injured either.
If she’s going to get any minutes this year, it will likely be this Sunday.
I’d love to see the Spanish players get some time on the floor together for a 5+ minute span in the 4th Q if the game is in hand… especially the two newcomers (Tor & Calvo). I’d like to see Sciolla get some more minutes too.

I believe this was technically an exhibition game, but regardless, games like this should not happen. Wagner was up 101-6 in the 4th Q, and CCNY was 0 for 19 from inside the arc…. 2 for 38 overall from the field.

And I believe CCNY had only 7 players in uniform.
