Brown's up tempo aggressive play style and much improved shot making showed what is possible for a rebuilding team. Remember, two years ago Brown and Dartmouth were co-inhabitants of the Ivy basement and it now appears Brown has a legitimate shot at making the Ivy Tournament.

Big Green's major flaw remains an inability of the guards to create open looks for other players, especially Ariik. She is such a unique player she should be taking at least 15 shots/game, but she needs guards who can get her the ball, which this team simply does not have - 7 assists against 18 TOs. The poor passing wouldn't be as glaring an issue if the guards could stretch the floor, but 2-12 from behind the arc isn't going to accomplish that. A tough start to the Ivy schedule but I still think this team is improving.

Our men laid an egg at Penn as well.

Obviously, Cimino has shown improvement and deserves some time to turn the program around. But I can't help but wonder if McLaughlin's seat is getting warm...

Yes, when 2 or your 4 wins on the season are against D3 schools and you lose the Conference opener by 29 it might be safe to assume the seat is warming up. MBB's Ivy record under McLaughlin is 26-59.

But, honestly, the men's program has been mediocre for so long that these moribund recent records don't even really stand out.
