82-70 for the women, Collins with 20.

Men lose 62-59, having led most of the way.
DLR with 3 pts had his worst game.

Very disappointing way to snatch defeat from the jaws of victory. Our continuing failure to close out games is just maddening. Does Noland go into the starting lineup? He seems like our only reliable scoring option at this point.

You have to wonder why the Lion coaching staff didn't complain vigoursly about what appeared to be the missed goaltending call by the refs on Bedri's blocked lay-up shot in the final few seconds of the game. Disappointing loss for sure, but our players can really shot the ball, and they need to come up with a plan for closing games out. Notwithstanding the loss to Harvard last night, Columbia can still capture a playoff spot. I expect the Lions to defeat Dartmouth tonight in Hanover.

Goaltending isn’t reviewable if it wasn’t called a goal tend on the floor, and it wasn’t a goal tend anyway; Ajogbor pretty clearly got it on the way up.

I think the real issue is that we still have not learned how to close out games—Princeton, Harvard and Cornell were winnable games and frankly we came dangerously close to blowing a three possession lead to a good Penn team. New seem to follow the same pattern in which we play a good first half and then lose leads at the 5 minute mark. With this team no lead of less than 4 possessions with under 2 minutes is safe. Last night’s game was there for the taking, and we couldn’t close it out.

Thanks to mobrien for answering my question about the goal tend situation last night. However, reviewable or not, on ESPN+ it looked like a goal tend to me and I would have expected our coaching staff to be jumping up and down to show its disapproval of the call. Bedri seemed to be looking around for that type of support. Obviously, he is a very important player on this Lions team. His continued improvement will be critical to the success of this year's team.
