I would have liked to see Dalen Davis take a few more shots when the offense got bogged down. Kind of like Maddy St. Rose last year for WBB, he is obviously very gifted but seems overly deferential and is till finding his place in the offense.

Also interesting to see Phil Byriel now getting minutes as the first big off the bench. When Martini and/or Pierce sit it definitely changes the tempo and fluidity of the offense.

One other note: seems like the scout on Princeton has flagged the two-man game Lee and Pierce have played so successfully where one screens for the other and then rolls to the hoop on the double-team. Too bad because that has produced a lot of nifty assists and easy buckets.

Even when Tosan was attacking the middle and kicking out last year, guys on the perimeter were moving and relocating or threatening to back cut. I’ ll buy fatigue as an explanation for the relative immobility against Brown.

Either way, no one draws a double on this team.

A crowd of 2,710, the largest to attend a Princeton women's game at Jadwin since January 2013 (Niveen Rasheed era). It was helped by something called "National Girls & Women in Sports Day," including pre-game activities and a post-game autograph session. In comparison, the recent game against Columbia drew a crowd of 1,873, which is not bad. Seems there is a greater focus in the Athletic Dept. on marketing the product, which is good.

I think a big reason for our 2 Ivy losses is Allocco not being himself. On the Make Shots podcast, Mitch mentioned Allocco playing with a sore back and even during the Harvard win, he was grabbing his lower back on the bench. His defense remains stalwart but we're no longer a team with 3 guys who can drop 20 on any given night.

For that reason, I agree that Davis is gonna have to play more and shoot more from now on. His midrange pullup jumper is money - he can take it and make it over any defender.

Yes it was and if remember correctly it was the Delaware game. The big draw was Ellena Della Donne (sp?). She torched us for 35 or something like that.

BTW, someone peeking in on the broadcast noticed that Brown’s uniforms with the red trim make them look like wrappedTootsie Rolls, and now I can’t unsee it.

I looked it up: actually, it was the first Penn game of that season, Jan. 12, 2013, which Princeton won 77-47 before a crowd of 3,577 for its 25th straight Ivy win. However, it was the first game of a Jadwin doubleheader against Penn (3:30 pm & 6:00 pm), and the stats show that the attendance at the men's game was also 3,577. So, the attendance at the Brown game on Saturday was probably higher since it was a stand-alone women's game, not the first half of a doubleheader.

Thanks. Interesting. The game I was thinking of was actually the year before and drew a little over 1,800 fans. I guess that seemed like a lot since Princeton's rise was still in its infancy stage at that time and probably rarely, if ever, attracted 1,000 people up to that point.
