The Ivy League, like a number of other Mid-Major Conferences, has three men’s teams ranked 100 or better which will duke it out for the regular season championship and conference tournament seeding over the next four weeks.
For us, each game has a pretty good chance of being closely contested. Two 6-0 teams (in league play) are going at it this weekend for the first time in awhile. You have that feeling that a road-breakthrough will occur somewhere. The four games are:
Cornell @ Yale 2PM Sat 10-Feb
Yale @ Princeton 8PM Sat 17-Feb
Yale @ Cornell 7PM Fri 23-Feb
Cornell @ Princeton 7PM Sat 2-Mar
Y@P is now on ESPN2 after delaying its start by an hour, but the others are still set for ESPN+. It would be great for the league to have the rest televised, not just broadcast.
Do we think there are conditions under which ESPN would move one or more of the three to ESPNews or ESPNU? They just moved Y@P to ESPN2. Showcasing the league and the quality of its basketball before a national audience would improve visibility and possibly help recruiting.
