Congratulations to Coach Cimino and squad on their 47-43 victory today over Cornell. That's Coach Cim's first league win and Dartmouth's first in two years.

It wasn't pretty. Doreen Arik was sidelined in a boot and the Green was outscored 17-0 in the second quarter. Still, a concrete sign of progress for program.

Have to give coach Cimino a ton of credit, she is really doing a lot with not very much. Not often you can win a game while only shoot 26%, but getting the ball in Meyer's hands all the time sure helps, as she's a very good FT shooter. Dartmouth held a 23-4 FT advantage, which pretty much decided the game.

Shibles left this program in tatters and the cupboard is beyond bare, but Cimino has breathed some spirit into the team and no matter what else happens the rest of the year this season should be seen as a success.

Agree with the above. Not saying that Cimino is Ivy Coach of the Year, but she *has* improved the program.

No idea what her ceiling is. But she definitely has a floor--which is exactly what the program needed at this particular point in time.

Ugh, I'm already irrationally worried about her getting hired away by some other team. Was Cormier leaving (the first time) for Fairfield the last time that's happened--that a Dartmouth basketball head coach was recruited by some other team? That occurred in 1991, so a third of a century ago.

Head coach, yep.

But there was a certain Dartmouth WBB assistant coach that was poached away that (to put it charitably) detrimentally impacted the program...
