Good find cc66! VC's numbers are impressive and she is certainly the sort of player who is likely to thrive under Coach Griffith's tutelage. Incidentally, while I am not of Greek heritage, I once had the honor of being invited to have lunch in Washington, D.C. by Columbia Football Hall of Famer, Gene Rossides. Mr. Rossides was extremely proud of his Greek heritage. He certainly would have delighted by the news that a star woman athlete will be coming to Columbia.

Never would have guessed that I’d become such a big fan of women’s b-ball. But, the games are fun to watch and well-played. It’s gotten to the point that I am as interested in the women as the men. Both C and P have standout coaches. Back to the game.
GO TIGERS!

67-65 Columbia in front of a packed house!
Hsu with 26. We led by 11 late, but after Princeton made a 12-2 run, we held on for the victory--ending Princeton's winning streak of 24 games in the IL.

Hsu outplayed Chen this time. After it looked like we had the game in hand with about 5 minutes to go and a 10 point lead we turned cold, Princeton mounted a run, and we held on for dear life when Chen missed what would have been the tying shot. All in all, a game for the ages.

Great outcome for Columbia WBB Fans, but I have to express my annoyance watching the game on ESPN+ with Lance Medow's annoying non-stop cliches and the amateurish boring commercials including the one for New York Hospital which was repeated five or six times. I happen to like Medow, who knows his stuff, but the cliches are too much. And then there is the Herman Wouk ad which is probably fifteen + years old.

We are not in a position to do any better than ESPN+, so let’s just be thankful that we have the games on air and that Lance at least is never boring.

Hear ya... I often rewind to re-watch an exciting play and/or to see if the ref got the call right... I get the added benefit of fast-forwarding through the commercials.
