Amazing first half.
Mack isn’t making any shots and Okpara can’t score from inside, but Simon and Wojcik hitting their shots.
This one is on Donahue, Spinoso is being completely dominated by Ajogbor - again - but Penn is still posting Spinoso and hoping one of his wild ‘little brother vs big brother’ left handed hook shots might fall, and they’re not. Completely stifles Penn’s offense as his teammates stand around and watch. Penn isn’t even pressing of defense, even though much of our ball handling was by Wojcik, Nesbit and Christian Rich.
Brown beating Cornell in Ithaca. Uh oh

Other than 3 point shots and FT’s our only made FG’s (other than Ajogbor) come from Wojcik and Christian Rich, the MIT transfer only playing because it’s Senior Day!
Amazing. It’s our defense I guess.

What happens to Harvard’s chances now that Brown upset Cornell? Trying to understand Harvard’s paths to the 4 seed now.

Spinoso is not being dominated. He gets to the rim time after time but just blows the finish. Still, the freshmen are keeping Penn in the game.
And if you lose, Brown's win gives them a big advantage.

Assuming neither team beats Yale: Harvard can't get a tiebreaker over Brown now so it needs to finish ahead in the standings. But beating Brown and winning the other games you're supposed to (Penn tonight and Dartmouth) ensures that. Almost no path with a loss to Brown now though.

We absolutely have to win @ Brown next Friday or it’s essentially over as Brown would have the lead and tie breaker.
Assuming Harvard beats Brown, Brown’s victory over Cornell likely gives them the tie breaker over Harvard. So, assume that we need to beat Penn and Brown.
Then, we’d be s game ahead with both teams having remaining games against Dartmouth and Yale.
Anyone see it differently?

Penn is eliminated.
Columbia almost.
Harvard at Brown next Friday night. If Brown wins, Bruins go up a game with only 2 games remaining + likely having the tie breaker due to victory over Cornell.
Must win for Harvard, again.

By the way, we got fatigued and needed Al of that 17 point lead. Gutsy win I’ll admit I did not expect.
Glad Penn didn’t play aggressively (press & run). Saved us.
