Co-lead scorer with 14 as the Johnnies splattered Seton Hall and got to 20 wins--they almost surely are in now.

I'd say still on the bubble, but they've won 6 straight since Pitino's press meltdown.

I hope Jordan gets the chance to be in the NCAAs.

Who says public tantrums don’t work?

Nice defensive game by the Red Storm.

The announcers keep saying that Seton Hall should be in. They’re five ranks below Princeton on KenPom and 15 ranks below in the NET. Sure, they beat UConn, Marquette, and Creighton once each, but they got to play those teams at home. Meanwhile they have many losses.

Would love to see Dingle in the NCAAs. He deserves the shot!

Dingle had a great line in SJ's loss to Uconn. He had 19 points, 66%FG, 60% 3PT, 3 assists, 0 turnovers. It sounds like he is likely headed to the big dance.

Those who thought he would be regretting his transfer when the team was losing could at least acknowledge that he probably isn't filled with regret at this exact moment.

Uconn is a fantastic team, so he is definitely showing he can compete at another level.

Nearly all of it in the second half. As others have pointed out, Jordan has benefitted greatly by not having to carry an offense and becoming a complementary player - although it took him some time to adjust. The lack of turnovers is the direct result of not having the ball in his hands most of the time unless he had an open look or a path down the lane. Yesterday, he hit his 3’s and looked for his mates consistently. Notably, his role increased when the Storm needed to score in bunches late to make this close.

Looks like it is going to be very close. Lunardi now has them has the first team out, for whatever that is worth.

Interesting... I'm probably in the minority here in that I always liked Pitino. I acknowledge he may have been involved in some NCAA shady stuff...

It is almost unimaginable that you are on the one hand insisting Penn fans should only care about running the world’s nicest program and on the other hand saying you like Rick Pitino.

What’s next, a post extolling the greatness of Dave Bliss?

Yeah, I get that it's not internally consistent. I remember Pitino as the Providence coach from long ago - when he was the underdog. He is just undoubtedly a great teacher of basketball. Maybe one of the best from that standpoint. Kind of like Larry Brown, who I also liked a lot. Great coaches. Whether or not you want your kids to play for them, you can't deny them their brilliance.

I am not saying that Penn has to have the nicest program. I'm just saying that NCAA sports are so polluted that I'd rather have a well run and high integrity program for the athletes themselves than the corrupt mess that exists overall.

I do not think Pitino would or should be the next coach of Penn, although he would undoubtedly have a good chance of making it a winner. That's all he's done in his career. My overall point about all of this is that if the world is becoming a cess pool, get out of the pool and play a different game.

If we ever have a coach with that kind of awful hair dye job, I’m out.

Will be interesting to see if St John's makes the tourney or not with all of the non-conference upsets in conference tourneys.

On the plus side, they got hot down the stretch, are 25 in KP and 21 in Torvik.

Don't care for Pitino one bit, but am hoping that Dingle finally has a chance to dance.

St Johns did not make the cut and, at KP 25, was the highest ranked KP not to be in the tourney.

I feel awful for Dingle.

Especially since he STILL won't get any postseason play as Pitino will not allow his team to be in the NIT.

That might have made a very intriguing matchup between St. John's and Princeton and a chance for Dingle to finally redeem himself with one last chance to beat Princeton.

I tend to focus on the fact that he could play the Joker when the next Batman movie gets made.

I'm wondering what Dingle feels about Pitino singlehandedly depriving him of his last chance to play in the postseason (and possibly against Princeton).
