Here's a new thread with the correct date of the game. I guess they took pity on UNLV having to fly out from Vegas so scheduled the game for Wednesday instead of Tuesday.

I can't help but immediately think of the Tigers strong win over a very tough UNLV team in the first round of the NCAA tournament in 1998 with Mitch at the guard spot. UNLV was on a roll having just stormed through its conference tournament to grab the aq spot as a #12 seed against the #5 seeded and Top-10 ranked Tigers. UNLV got off to a fast start but the Tigers sharpened up and won going away before a heart breaking second round loss to Michigan State.

Go Tigers!

Me too. Kind of bummed that I wasn't able to score my regular season tickets, though. My seats were blocked off on the website--what's up with that?

I think the game may be sold out - is that really possible?

I think they wanted to fill the 100 level before selling seats upstairs so the ticket page may have made it seem like it was a sellout but there are plenty of seats left in 200 level.

Might make more sense but I don't like it. Called yesterday morning and they had already sold my normal season ticket to someone else. You'd think they'd at least give us a day to claim it.

You know who is doing the commentary, so that triggers an automatic mute button from me.

Also, Kevin Kruger is an absolute spitting image of his dad.

Some of those Princeton missed 3s will go in later in the game.

UNLV clearly having its way inside, Princeton doubled immediately but UNLV good at finding the open man. Latest defensive installment was a zone to try to negate this, but UNLV guards are finding ways to get to the hoop, both in the half court and on numerous fast breaks off of turnovers.

Princeton able to find better shots inside of late, down by 2 with 10:26 to play in the first stanza.

That was a nice block by Lee there. Been much tougher for UNLV to get good shot opportunities of late, looked like they had one there but Lee shut it down.

On one hand, UNLV has done an excellent job shutting Lee down from scoring, just nothing there for him. So he's contributing in other ways like feeding others and then making steals and blocks on the other end.

Now Princeton with the inside game. UNLV defenders getting caught on Princeton cuts to the hoop, what a surprise.

Boone on UNLV is open all night long from inside. The doubles are either coming too late or not at all or he finds the open shooter.

Fun game to watch.

38-36 lead. Bad start, bad finish, good in the middle.

Hard to gauge this game - both teams want to win but have "asterisks."

Kalib Boone is out for UNLV while MH is playing a lot of deep bench guys, mostly to our detriment. Hicke has had some nice moments. Collins not yet ready for primetime.

Up two at the half, both teams playing loose and hard. Rebels are certainly physical but seem surprised each time a Tiger shows any athleticism.

Obviously, our guys are feeling incredibly low after the ILT upset, so I understand if they lose against a good team, even at home.

But I also love watching this team play, so I want them to keep the season going. Would show some nice resilience to bounce back after a heartbreaker. Hope the crowd can will them to victory in the 2nd half.

Meanwhile, Tosan had a nice first half but Cade Cunningham decided he's going to shoot into a triple-team every possession in the 3Q. Game looked winnable until your "star" decides to stat pad for himself and bricks everything.

UNLV also missing its best defender who is attending to a family issue.

Regardless, fun to watch. It has been fairly easy for both teams to get good shots.
