Echo echo - o - o
any reports about how Cornell is looking this year? They got a pretty bad rap in the Spec, and I was wondering if anyone has a dissenting opinion.

lbh--well, here in the valley where your dulcet notes resound off the alpine spires, it feels, to quote Richard Farina, the Cornellian who married Joan's sister Mimi and died on his motorcycle, like we've been down so long it looks like up. Two losses out of the box to low-middling opposition are not soul-warmers. Still, decision to stick with Dow at point as reflected in second game of season appears to be the right one and Rourke, when he's more fully integrated into the offense, should be a step up from Stephenson. Collins appears to be taking off from last year's Ivy season in which he played very well. Despite two senior four year starters this is a young team, and should be in mid-pack in Ivies.
My "other" alma maters, H and the city C, via weaker law school links, appear to be (maybe much) better, Brown is deficient even when Forte-fied, Green is Green, Penn inexplicably awful right now, and PU not as strong early on as one would have thought. Seems, to me, a typical Ivy season.

Watched the Colgate-Cornell game this past Tuesday night and the Red were outhustled and outmuscled by the Colgate team. Gant will be a plus in the long run for Cornell. Losing Stephenson at the forward position has cost Cornell from a rebounding standpoint.
