I hope he's the right guy, I really want him to be. It certainly maximizes continuity.

Not that you are reading this, but good luck Coach Jaques.

Jaques seems like the easiest and correct choice for AD Moore.

Successful alum and long-serving coach, who has a strong connection to Cornell and Ithaca.

Hopefully, he will take the lessons learned from the last few years under Brian Earl over the lessons from his time with Bill Courtney.

A few recruiting tips from Courtney wouldn't hurt. Another Matt Morgan or Shonn Miller would be nice.

I think teams will still get good recruits. I don't see that as the big problem. With some exceptions, some of our better recruits were left due to HS injuries or maybe size issues. Sure, we might lose a Llewellyn, Aiken or Towns to an NIL offer, but there will still be late bloomers. The issue is whether a Shonn Miller or Matt Morgan would have transferred out after a breakout season (or two). Morgan scored 18.9 PPG as a freshman, Miller only 8.9 PPG (So 11.9; Jr. 16.8). I'm thinking Morgan might have transferred right away, with Miller considering it after his Junior season. As Ivy Player of the Year as a sophomore, Towns could have been mulling it over until his injury in the final 10 minutes of the Tournament Final. Aiken might have left after his freshman campaign (14.5 PPG)
