At one time 40-50 years ago USC was considered the ugly stepchild to UCLA.
No longer. These are now both excellent schools.

This is a no-brainer for Slajchert, then. Congratulations to him. He gets to go home, gets tuition free education at a great school, and possibly gets some NIL - all to do what he loves. He has his degree in-hand (and possibly a masters) for whenever he moves on to his next career.
My only concern for him is PT. USC is in big flux given the coaching change, so I don't know how this will go. It isn't obvious to me that a major conference team will start such a wiry player. There's a lot of discussion on the USC board about how he's a shooter. While he finally did put together his three point shooting in his last year, I wouldn't describe him as a three point gunner. I'm not sure if a major conference team can properly use his strengths by turning an offense over to him, and handle the defensive challenges he will have against very physical opponents.

Curious to see whether defense is really an issue. Depending on the makeup of the team, it can be a lot easier to hide one small defender on a high major squad. Mike Smith, for example, was at times a defensive liability at Columbia, where he had to carry the load offensively and had to handle some of the toughest defensive assignments. I thought he was fine at Michigan. You could say some similar things about Jordan Dingle. So I wouldn’t be surprised if Clark is fine defensively at USC, particularly if he comes off the bench and/or plays shorter stints. I also think he can probably function as a shooter. Just because he didn’t fill that role at Penn doesn’t mean he can’t.

If somebody runs a lot of curls for him into the lane he’ll be a huge pain to defend. That runner/floater stuff he does means that stopping him at the rim isn’t enough.

Yeah, when he's hitting those runners, he is very hard to stop. If he develops a good 3 point game off of the curls and also off of stepbacks, he will be unstoppable. He has a lot of the pieces...
