That's one way to avoid the NIL issue: recruit international students whose visas won't allow them to "work" or earn income while enrolled (I do wonder if there's a carve out for paid internships, though).

There is not. I'm friends with an international student at another Ivy and she had to leave the country to get a paid internship. It's a mess.
