The Temple game sure demonstrates why changing the RPI makes sense. There was no way the officials were going to let Princeton out of there with a win tonight. Let Temple have its 0.6 of a win and Princeton take its 0.6 of a loss and call it a tie--its obvious the game should have gone to overtime even with all the earlier lousy calls.

Go Tigers!

That was rediculous! Also there was almost no postgame mention of a "potential" officiating flaw (in online articles). I read the link on this site and it was very clear the writer had not actually paid attention to the game ... to quote one line, "Princeton put on a clinic offensively, attacking Chaney’s match-up zone with sharp cuts and precision passing." ... If Princeton put on a "clinic" offensively then they'll probably enduce vomitting when they struggle.

Exactly. Check out ESPN.com's game recap. It goes so far as to claim that the Temple player "knocked the ball away off the glass" or some such to ice the win. No mention of the goaltending controversy. Unbelievable.

It was a horrible no-call of an obvious goaltend and cost Princeton a chance to steal a game that Temple should have put away. The Princeton offense was not very impressive until the last seven minutes. Princeton was 3-19 from 3 before the 4-7 ending started by Wallace's 25-foot (no, no, no, yes) bomb. This game was a a lot like the Rutgers game except that Rutgers doesn't have Mardy Collins.
Does Temple run an actual offense, or does Chaney just designate one player each year to create shots for himself? Princeton played good defense, but how can Butler and Marshall combine for a total of one field goal attempt, while Collins, Tyndale, and Salisbery have 29?

Even the announcers agreed it was a goal-tend after the first replay - from that point on the storyline was about Don's W in his 1,000th game (which was also the only reason this game was on TV). Terrible no-call!
