IMO yale should insert simmons into the starting lineup for gharram or he should get more minutes.
casey has shown he is elite driving the ball and is a great defender. i am not sure he has improved his outside. he has an exagerated one hand release point now. maybe.
i think you need more size on the wing/guard on defense to counter these actions.
this kid has big time talent. lets see what that means over 25-30 mins.
gharram and mullen can add some shooting off the bench perhaps particularly the latter when he finds his touch.
but this is a defensive change and you dont lose much on o and might gain a star while hes here.

I'm with you on this one. The lack of defensive length in the starting lineup has been a real problem to start the season. It's really just a fit change - nothing wrong with Yassine, but I do think he's a more natural PG and he can't do that as effectively when Bez is also out there.

agreed. his best attribute is maybe rebounding but hes 6' 2.
he is excellent off the bench.
simmons ceiling is not playing 16 mins at yale. its up to the coaches to push him there for the sake of this team.

this game was impossible to use to assess development.
vermont is but a fragment of itself with injuries.
but i might get out of the year on simmons. he is emerging. but such a shame on yassine. you need tough battle tested seniors so bad deal
james agrees with me on the top 3 then who knows rotation.
he coached that way.

Is Gharram done? Any word on what led to his departure?

kid left the team.
heard its frustration as to playing time which makes little sense since he started every game
perhaps jones told him he was riding with simmons now as i hoped he would? but i really have no clue and neither does ray curran

That's a pretty petulant reaction to a change in playing time. You would expect one of your senior leaders to be mature enough not to react that way. Looks to me as if he doesn't see the big picture.
Next man up.

Bad news for Yale is he's effective in their system.
He's a great rebounder and a tough defender. But I think they gain length and a higher ceiling by going more with Simmons.
The next man up forgetting Simmons should be fine just inexperienced whether mullen or arlington.
I do feel bad for the kid. You get one shot at this
But I have no particular insight just speculation. This is rare for Jones. It last happened with Montague ( different circumstances I hope for the kid's sake).
