Yale and Brown have had some wild games recently. Two meetings ago, a career 26% three point shooter hit an NBA range three to give Brown its first win in the House of Payne since 2010. One meeting ago, Lucy found the cruelest way yet to yank the football away, setting up Yale's second-ever NCAA tournament win.
You'd have to imagine Brown is motivated to wash the taste of the last meeting out of their mouths. The Kino Lilly/Bez Mbeng match-up will be fun to watch too.
Ivy League play starts in a week!

gritty win.
old school yale d. the shooting breadth from 3 was off and even poulakidas was sort of off for him.
but simmons continues to ignite when healthy.
aletan is coming on.
and james played two freshmen when game was in doubt in 2h.
celiscar is a grown man. and you heard it here first.
the board's 4th rated recruited ivy class defies the skeptics for now????

This is what depth does for you - even when your star isn't starring, you can still win games against quality teams. I was worried about Yale's depth going into the year, but John's injury gave Casey a chance to show his quality on offense, and it gave the freshmen a chance to show that they deserved regular minutes.

Was very impressed by Yale's showing yesterday. Thought we did well to hang around for the first three quarters, but you guys really put on the hard hats in the last 10 minutes and buried us on the boards. Difficult for me to think of a better frontcourt in the league. I will be glad to see the back of Bez - always puts up a great defensive effort against his fellow DMV guard.
Best of luck and stay healthy the rest of the way.

Kino Lilly is arguably the best player in the league. I thought Yale did a good job making things difficult for him, but sometimes that doesn't matter for a player that good. Landon Lewis is also a nice surprise as Lilly's new PnR partner. I think Brown makes the ILT safely, and stars, guards, and star guards win in March, so I hope when you guys make it, you play somebody else in the first round.

There was a nice moment between Lilly and Mbeng - who I thought made it very hard for Lilly to get shots - where after Lilly hits the logo three, Mbeng turns around and looks at him with a 'come on man'.

It was not a game that I want to remember, and I hope both the team and I are able to put it behind us quickly.
There was one moment that I would like to be able to replay, however. When Lily hit a three pointer from the Yale Center logo, MBang gave him a grin which was really an admirable high five. It was the kind of thing you might expect, and which may make Ivy basketball a little different. I think both players have enjoyed this match up for the past few years. Good on ‘em.

agree with all.
brown is a tough squad and besides the last 10 mins is on the precipice of really breaking the dam on yale.
their 1-2 punch with lilly and the big kid is tough to stop.
i wouldnt want to play them at their home in madness which makes the seeding race all the more compelling.
