Why is the student newspaper at the University of Rhode Island called The Good 5-Cent Cigar? Surely there must be some cute story behind that.

I asked a friend of mine who is a URI alum and he said, as far as he remembers, it has to do with the quote, "What this good country needs is a good 5 cent cigar" which was said by VP Thomas Marshall in the Senate in 1919. That doesn't really explain why it is the name of the URI paper but it is all I could find out so far.
