see that they are planning to proceed with phase iv, construction of new baseball and softball facilities. these had been identified as the next athletic priorities along with an upgrade of football training facilities in the early campus master planning process. i assumed that meant it was a few years before they would even begin and might be contingent on funding in the next capital campaign (putting it even further in the future). still looking at draft architectural plans, but that is a start.

I have to say that, having played baseball at BU, that field was actually pretty nice. The fences were *really* deep, esecially in the alleys, but it was a nice field to play on in general. This is especially true because the weather isn't exactly ideal during the majority of the baseball season. It's good to see they're upgrading all facilities, though.
BTW - that soccer field/stadium is sweet.

Where did you see the information on phase IV? I'd love to see it. If it meets the standard of the soccer/field hockey facility it will be superb.

near the bottom, but there is nothing more there. no architectural drawings, i suspect we won't see those until there is an approved plan.

Thanks. Sounds very promising. Wish we'd had these facilities when I was there. On the other hand, tuition was only $4000 back then!
