DCSPORTSFAN.com, a site that follows WCAC sports (Washington Catholic Conference, Dematha, etc.) has a discussion going about a rumor that Coach Amaker has gotten a committment from Frank Ben-Eze, from Archbishop Dennis J. O'Connell. If true this would be tremendous news for Harvard. Ben-Eze, a Nigerian, is not a polished basketball player (yet) but is physically a monster who could be a dominant force inside for the Crimson. A great rebounder, and shot-blocker, his offensive game is coming along slowly but surely. Up til now he has gotten attention from Big East, ACC schools. Anyone up North heard anything on this?

This rumor doesn't seem to make much sense. Ben-Eze yesterday announced he is officially visiting Marquette on Tuesday. Marquette is hosting an early practice (which they can do per the NCAA exemption for teams going to international tournaments). It is an open practice, meaning fans are invited. Frank Ben-Eze will also be in attendance.
Harvard is obviously a great school, but for Engineering and hoops, Big Frank can't go wrong with Marquette.

According to the same previously cited blog, Frank has trimmed his list of possible schools to three, Virginia Tech, Marquette, and Harvard. He will reportedly make his official visit to Harvard this weekend.
