The board reports that Dartmouth has a committment from Taylor Mullenax 6'8" 220 from Beaumont Texas. That makes five for Coach Dunn. Would it be too greedy to also hope for the only 7 footer listed on anyone's prospect list, Liam Potter from the UK??

Well, you can always hope, but the guess here is it's not likely to happen. I don't know the details, but I seem to recall hearing that Dartmouth sets the bar for foreign students prohibitively high.

It's true that they wanted Luke Ruscoe and that didn't work out. But don't forget they did get Vedad Osmanovic. You never know. Terry Dunn might still have some honeymoon currency left to spend.

These boards (this one and the main league board), and the site overall provide as much information as you're likely to find on the program outside of Hanover. You can check on the recruits by visting the link labeled "recruiting" at the top of the page. As for Coach Dunn, he is the Ivy Coach of the Year, hands down. And he may be the first Darmtouth men's coach to win/deserve that award in twenty years.

I agree with aprevious post that much talent was there but was under-utilized. Having Dave Gardner handing the ball off at the 3 point line for three years was a misuse of his talent. He is obviously getting individual coaching everyday on post play and making the most of it. Wish Coach Dunn had another year with him. The Pattman situation may have been a good thing. It established that a new sheriff was in town and that no one was bigger than the team. And how bout Mike Liddy against Yale. I used to think he couldn't shoot and handle. But he proved me wrong last weekend. He'll remember that game for a long time.

well this "Ivy Coach Of The Year" inspired his troops to phone it in last night. For a team fighting for second, the 64-37 butt whipping was an embarrassment. The real Ivy Coach Of The Year gets his players to play all the time, even when they have the championship comfortably won.

Dartmouth has been much better this year, no doubt about that. But even putting aside last night's game (we can overlook a bad game), Dartmouth hasn't been able to win on the road. I would want to see a little more before considering Dunn for Coach of the Year, although I am very impressed with what he has done with this squad.

While I appreciate the fine job that Dunphy has done with a team picked to finish 2d or 3rd in the league, you guys are nuts. Dartmouth was among the worst teams in the United States last year. They lost 18 in a row for crying out loud. That was the team Dunn inherited. The he lost the best player by far from that squad and had to play ten games with only his third and fourth string point guards.
At the start of the year, I was hoping Dartmouth would get lucky and pull off two or three league wins. For them to have beaten every team in the league, other than league champion Penn, is just astonishing. I'd rate this the best coaching performance the league has seen in twenty five years.

Let me take you back to the preseason. I'm going to tell you two things are going to happen:
1. Penn is going to win the title with one loss (or two ) 2. Dartmouth is going to beat every team in the Ivy League except the champion and finish tied for third.
Which are you going to put money on? C'mon now, be honest!
