Too busy to write much more with being depressed about Penn's lost to the Gulf Coast Yankees, but I did want to write that I have been impressed with Brown's rankings. Haven't beaten anyone especially good (who has in the Ivies?) but beating basically everyone you should beat. If you do this in the Ivies, you put yourself in a position to be above a 16 (a 14 maybe?) seed unlike the other teams. Well done.

Thanks, but the ND game was a major dissapointment. I think we will be competitive within the league, but Cornell and Yale are good and I'm not ready to write off Columbia and Penn. I don't think Harvard or Dartmouth can win the league, but they will win some games. I still think 10-4 could win the title.

You gotta love the Penn fans; Miller's second year, one title, it's too early to really rate his recruiting, and posters are out for his scalp after one clinker. At least the Princeton fans gave Scott a couple of full seasons.

You're right about that---too many nervous nellies. I think Miller will have Penn in great shape in 2009 if not before. Hopefully the top 4 will be competitive by then. I'm sure Amaker will have Harvard competitive by then.

Well, Old Bear, I believe you are one of our (Penn's) more gracious fans. While of course you have less at stake in the present "troubles", you have always been a positive visitor on our board -- when we are down and even when we are up. I have enjoyed your good sense and generosity of spirit.

This year may test the love of some of Penn's oldest fans, but during my short tour here, I have come to appreciate their spirited engagement. The last post at Princeton was on December 17th.

Despite predictions, may Brown and Penn battle it out for the Ivy!

PS -- I hope saying this does not get you dirt from your home team.

Thanks, Capt., for your kind words and concern. The few Brown posters to this board are quite knowlegable and I am, therefore, unconcerned. Besides, as much as I have admired Miller and what he did for Brown, I would not be willing to trade Robinson for him.
