Marquis has come up short and disappointed his fans in recent days – especially those looking at only scoring totals and field goal percentages. Isolated, the numbers are not pretty – particularly those posted in ’08 (4 points in 47 minutes of play). In my opinion (what’s yours), no one should be giving up on this guy but instead taking notice of the play of those around him on those isolated occasions when his shots aren’t falling. He is, after all, a point guard first and shooter second. And, they don’t come much better.
