Hounds win relatively easy on a night when patsos gets kicked out for reasons that are still unclear to me... ive heard stories that patsos was complaining about the niagara game bc one of the refs were the same but idk how much truth there is to that...

final score: 81-69
Brown puts up 33 and looked impressive

but now time for Niagara and a huge rematch, hope loyola comes out strong and produces a statement game

where was the crowd? Looked like Reitz was less than half capacity on the video stream.

yeah the crowd was extremely weak, idk most of loyola fans arent highly educated to know that st peters is a god awful team so i find it hard to use that as an excuse.... the only thing i can think of is that thursday night at loyola is a big night for various different clubs all which usually start around seven... hopefully they come out strong for a 4 pm start on a sunday afternoon now that football is off the air

Yeah God forbid we miss our Thursday night rock climbing in the FAC.

Let's fill Reitz for the biggest home game of the year so far...no football, no exams, NO MORE EXCUSES!!!

I was at the game, terrible student section, maybe 100 kids. I think you're right on JimmyP getting kicked out for bringing up the Niagara game. Didn't matter though, St. Peter's is terrible and we could've beat them with no coaches.

As for Isaac Reid, someone told me at the game last night that he was kicked off the team for violating campus rules. Not sure what he did. & apparently Joe Miles left the program as well, there was a really short bench last night.

It must just be temporary because they are still listed on the roster on the website.

If Reid is really kicked out of the program that is a HUGE loss for the future of the team.

Hassan Fofana = Delonnie Southall version 2.0

I understand about protecting a kid's privacy by not revealing every detail, but why not even a vague press release from Loyola saying that Reid and Miles are gone? At the very least it can show recruits that there are spots available.

With no Reid I have a very bad feeling that the 2008-09 lineup will include Jawaan Wright and Dan Ficke in the post backed up by a slew of big man projects who will make us long for the days of Irakli Nijaradze.

According to loyola's website in the game notes prior to the st.peter's game "MILES LIKELY TO MISS SEASON: Junior guard Joe Miles likely will miss the remainder of the season. He suffered an injury at Fairfield, tried to play two days later at Rider and has not dressed for a game since. He played in 15 games, starting two, after sitting out last season following his transfer from Marshall University." Also last night during the broadcast they said Reid was not dressing due to administrative reasons, whatever that means i dont know.

I believe David Credle's grandsons should be of college age by now. Perhaps they are an option.

Reid was sitting in the student section last night... someone called out when we were leaving "boy, why aint you playing?"... his response "i in trouble"... "for what?"... "i dont know".... end of conversation... i have no idea what to make of that, just thought i'd put it out there

I think Julian Tate still has one year of eligibility left.
Looks like last night's win was more impressive than we thought, according to the website:
"Men's Basketball Tops St. Joseph's, 79-63
02/07/2008 - Gerlad Brown matches a career-high 33 points"
