Great finish to a great, record-breaking season. The team did everything it could to finish strong and maximize our chances for the postseason.

19 wins. 19 wins! And 11-3 in the conference! Awesome season.

Congratulations to Craig Robinson on a truly great Brown season, one of the best ever. Besting the previous win record by 2 is quite a feat, and this team will finish right around that top 100 in the RPI - which I believe should be Brown's best ever.

Here's to you, Mr. Robinson. And to our terrific team, which we'll be talking more about as we lead up to the postseason tourney selections.
LET'S go BRU-no (duh. nuh. nuh-nuh-nuh)

Congrats to Brown on a strong finish. I hope they get a chance to play in the post season. It's unfortunate that every time Brown has put together a really good Ivy team they've run into a dominant Ivy team (Penn 2003 and Cornell 2008, 14-0). Still, definitely a season to be proud of for Brown.

Was this team really better than the 03 team? I'm not doubting, I just am surprised.

Pomeroy says they're pretty evenly matched, although I'd give the edge to the '03 squad. Not sure anyone on this year's team could guard Hunt.

Me too. That 03 team had so much talent - three of Brown's best players ever, three first teamers, and six future all Ivy players. That was actually one of the best Ivy teams this decade. I don't think this Brown team or even this Cornell team was better than that 03 team.

That said, the offense is the great equalizer, and so, I'd have to give this team a shot.

Any chance Jake puts together a CBI meter for Brown, so we know who to root for and against this week? That's a tall order for a team that didn't win the league, I know, but...

Do you really think this tournament is going to be about merit?

Actually let me try again, if Brown makes it into that tournament, it's an accomplishment that should be applauded. But if Brown doesn't make it in, it's not not an accomplishment. I don't think the organizers could do anything egregious like put a 200 RPI team in over Brown, but you can be darn sure they could put a 120 RPI team in over you guys.

I meant it was a tall order to ask Jake to put together something to track Brown's chances given that they didn't win the league and would be going to the CBI at best.

Nono, I got what you meant, I just think that Brown even if deserving (and given top 113, sure, why aren't they deserving?) will likely get jobbed.

So if they make it, good job.

If they don't make it in, doesn't mean a bad job.

I don't think they'll get jobbed by the CBI. They're the perfect team to send on the road - they come with a great backstory and the committee will view them as unlikely to win so that home team could get a second home game. If Brown pulls an upset then they become a better story and you can still keep them on the road because they're unlikely to be a higher seed than anyone.

If they don't get in I think it will be on merit but we can debate that afterward - if they lose out to a Cal State Northridge or Georgia Southern.
