Just wanted to wish everyone another Happy Ivy-Free Bracket Buster Saturday. Let's all take this chance to celebrate our hermetic and nearsighted league planning once again. Huzzah.

Thing is, this thing is planned so far ahead that the Ivy rep would have been Princeton, which would have looked pretty embarrassing when this weekend rolled around.

What makes you say there'd only be one Ivy?
And what have Toledo, George Mason, and Tennessee-Chattanooga done that's so much more worthy?

They made the cut of the 64 mid-majors chosen for a preliminary list of Buster candidates prior to the season. I doubt very much any Ivy beyond Princeton would have been in that initial list, which would have made it impossible to get a second team in. And even if they had, they narrowed the list to 22 teams prior to February 1, and at that point Princeton's collapse was not apparent. With the MVC dominating the schedule, the East Coast only got two teams as it was: Drexel and Vermont.
