We can debate the quality of the incoming classes around the league but we really won't know a whole lot for a couple of years. Nonetheless, it looks like Robinson is proving to be a damn good recruiter. I don't have the numbers, but I'm guessing Brown got more minutes from it's current freshman class in league games than anyone else in the league, and that's with a team that lost only three games. The new class, on paper, looks at least as good.

Yes, Brown's current freshman class is a good one - any class with two players getting major minutes on an 11-3 team needs to be considered a very good one. I do wonder who else on this class will end up being good Ivy players. I'd bet on Kelly, Kane and Taylor having some impact next year, but we didn't see enough of Floyd (who actually redshirted) or Leffelman to know what they're capable of.
In general, the two big men we have coming in have gotten a lot of good press and have both had good performances vs. some of the top HS big men out there. So, I'd expect them to be able to play some. Coleman is supposed to be a real good natural PG, but losing your senior season is very tough when you're making the jump to D1. He's apparently healed, but needs to play a lot this summer. Who knows about Harris, but if the hype is justified, then this will be another very good class.

Am I misreading this? Penn started 2 freshman in League games and played another more than 20 minutes per game with two or three more (before Cofield got hurt) getting minutes off the bench? How could Brown's freshmen have played more? And while it is true Brown lost only three games, it can't be denied that the two all-Ivy first-teamers and the junior PG were the primary reason for that. Sullivan had a good year in the third-option role Grandieri had his first two years, but it will be a big change when he becomes more of a go-to guy. And Williams? You saw him more than me but again he played well in a role in which he didn't have to make things happen. He didn't turn the ball over much but he didn't get many assists either. Brown's other freshmen are all "potential," having done little this year one way or the other.

I was curious, so I checked, 1186 for Penn in freshmen conference minutes played, 854 for Brown. Doesn't mean any of your other points are wrong and it's not like any frosh was going to play over your two all ivy seniors, where Penn had ahem, a few positions that weren't filled with quite as much upperclassmen talent.

Since I got into work before my scheduled time, I went a step further. Checking the freshman production for each team (in League play):
Brown: 197 points
Penn: 419 points
Brown: 76 rebs.
Penn: 133 rebs.
Brown: 28 assists/43 TOs
Penn: 97 assists/73 TOs
Brown: 80-104 FTs (76.9%)
Penn: 121-148 FTs (81.7%)
Brown: 36-99 3s (36.4%)
37-61 2s (60.6%)
Penn: 30-81 3s (37%)
102-230 2s (44.3%)(score one for Brown)
In terms of steals and blocks, Brown doesn't break them down for League play, but Penn's frosh had 16 blocks and 40 steals in Ivy games. Brown's frosh had 7 blocks and 40 steals ALL SEASON.

Brown Freshman had 25 steals and 4 blocks in Ivy games -

Guys, don't be upset that Brown's freshmen dominated Penn's in 2 point field goal shooting. You can't win everything.
I am not going to yell or scream or accuse, because without your comments, it's just me and the Bear... and we all know what happens with that.
Penn's freshmen are real good. Two future all-league performers, minimum.
"Hype" referred to what I heard from the Brown player, who hears he is supposed to have, well, hype.
