Rumor has it that Brown looked pretty good in a scrimmage with Central Connecticut. Tough non-league schedule, but Brown may surprise a few people.

How indicative is a good showing against a team with no player over 6-6?
I'm not being sarcastic. I'd just like to know more details.

I think the main takeaways from a scrimmage like this one are more reps on offensive sets, defensive positioning, and after 4 weeks of practice finally testing your mettle against fresh faces.
As to the height of the competition, the Ivy's don't exactly have an abundance of imposing bigmen either. Foote is certainly a presence, Schreiber is a dangerous utility man, and Columbia has a couple of 7' unproven youngsters -- but overall, it's guard play that will always win the league.

The fact that they out played two D1 teams in scrimmages has to be better than not beating them. Cent.Conn has been to the Big Dance in recent times, and Sacred Heart is also picked high in their league. I don't think these experiences can be negative.
