6'7" Bova had career high 35 pts and 15 rbs in victory in semi-finals of NY Section II (regional) Class AA (largest schools) victory. Sectional finals Monday at Pepsi Arena in Albany against Schenectady. Teams met 2 weeks ago and drew over 7,000.

Bova's Albany Christian Brothers Academy beat arch rival Schenectady (teams had split two previous meetings; both have won 20 games) 57-44 for Sectional championship before another 7,000 crowd. Bova led CBA with 22 pts (8 for 12), 6 rbs, and 5 steals and named sectional MVP. Team now goes on to state quarter-finals

Bova's Albany CBA lost to Saracuse Nottingham in the state quarter finals; Bova scored 12 pts and finished as the school's all time scoring leader with 1300-plus pts.
